Vendor Spotlight: 5 Senses Events and Design
If you haven’t heard of 5 Senses Events & Design, you’re making a big mistake. Voted “Best in The Berkshires” for “Best Wedding Planner” of 2020, 5 Senses is dedicated to perfection, style, and providing a unique, once in a lifetime experience all while making your life easier in the process. Danielle Pellerin, Owner and Creative Director at 5 Senses, is a Berkshire Native and has had a passion for hospitality and the event industry ever since she was very young. She actually went to school for it and graduated with her degree in Event Management knowing she wanted to focus on weddings. She met her now husband and lived in Boston for a time working trade shows before moving back to the Berkshires to start a family of their own! She had been working for a local company running their events/hospitality programs and stayed for five years. This was the perfect opportunity for her to get reacquainted with the hospitality community here in the Berkshires.
If any of you know Danielle, you know that she is not only passionate about her work, but that she is also fiercely passionate about her family. She attributes the courage of taking the plunge in creating her own company to the moment they welcomed their daughter. When she had her, she knew that she needed to show her that you can do anything you put your mind to and that making your dreams a reality is never out of arms reach. She has done just that with the unwavering support of her awesome husband! Danielle is kind, thoughtful, detailed, and thorough. Most importantly, we can say without a doubt that if you work with Danielle, she will always care for you as if you were a friend and she will always do her best to make your vision come true. This is one of the many reasons why we love her so much!
Like so many others, there were definitely challenges (big and small) when Danielle first started on this journey. There have been weekends away from the family, financial worries that come with starting a new business, figuring out the day to day, and so many other things. Something that we have always found inspiring about her journey is that she persevered on without letting fear get in the way of her realizing her dream, and we think that’s a testament to who she is as a person. Nothing can stop her! As a wedding planner, it’s hard to be it all sometimes even though that’s what’s expected of you, but Danielle has no problem finding the balance.
Despite the pandemic affecting the industry as a whole and her business directly, Danielle has maintained the attitude that everyone is in this together and that there are brighter days ahead. You can’t appreciate the sunshine without a little rain, right? She has had many a panicking couple, cancellation, downsize, etc., but if there is anyone that can handle this situation with great flexibility and empathy, it’s her. We can definitely say that she’s ready for this pandemic to be over as much as the rest of us though, that’s for sure! She very much misses her couples, vendors, weddings, and everything in between. Her favorite part about being in the industry is the people and the connections made which is probably the hardest part about this current situation.
With everything going on, we wanted introduce a little light into the upcoming Spring season by introducing you to Danielle. She is a true soul and the passion she carries for her job is incredible.
